David Mark Rubenstein is an American lawyer, businessman, and philanthropist and is co founder of The Carlyle Group, a private equity firm. He is a finance professional who understood the power of content to get institutions and individuals interested and invested in his funds.

Having worked in finance I understand the importance of sales, but David has done a fantastic job in getting people to speak on his own podcast on a variety of subjects which will continue to increase his visibility and his brand the Carlyle group.

He started a podcast to get his name out, sell himself as well as his own fund. He understood the power of content was in fact key to increase his presence as a financial professional as well as increase and raise capital for his own funds.

Its clear that finance companies from buy side Bernstein to AXA investment managers and others starting podcasts.

Jim Cramer is also using his influence to sell his own brand the street, which is a finance blog.
